Xiaomi is preparing to unveil a significant number of new devices in the run-up to the upcoming Chinese New Year, or Spring Festival (one of the country's most traditional holidays, typically held in the last two weeks of February). According to the well-known, reliable, and hyperactive leaker known on Weibo as Digital Chat Station, the company is expected to have flagship smartphones, wearables, tablets, and various IoT gadgets ready.

The undisputed star of the show is expected to be the Xiaomi 17 Ultra , a top-of-the-line flagship and super camera phone powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, which will join the already announced Xiaomi 17 , 17 Pro , and 17 Pro Max . It could be unveiled as early as next week , with actual availability expected by the end of the month, at least in China. On the imaging front, the 17 Ultra is expected to feature a 1-inch Leica-branded main camera, likely based on the locally produced OmniVision OV50X sensor, flanked by a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 200MP telephoto lens with a periscope lens.

Alongside the top-of-the-range model, Xiaomi is expected to strengthen its mid-range portfolio with the Redmi Turbo 5 , which will most likely be the first smartphone equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 8500, and the Redmi Turbo 5 Pro , which is a little more prestigious thanks to the more performing Dimensity 9500e.

On the wearables front, a new Xiaomi-branded smartwatch is expected : we know it should run Android and HyperOS (not Google WearOS), have a 930 mAh battery, and support for eSIM via an independent eUICC chip, a feature that would allow it to function autonomously, without a smartphone. The lineup should be rounded out by two new earphone models, a mid-range tablet, and several IoT devices, about which no more precise technical details have emerged at this time.

Note that it's unclear whether the devices will be launched at a single major event or whether we'll see separate, scattered launches over the period. However, it's highly likely that the Xiaomi 17 Ultra will have a dedicated event , although it's not ruled out that at least some of the other products will be unveiled at the same time.
