Apple WWDC 2026: Keynote on June 8 and anticipation for iOS 27, macOS 27, and new Siri AI

2026-05-20

Apple has announced the dates of its Worldwide Developers Conference 2026 , the annual event dedicated to developers where the company presents the main software innovations for its ecosystem. WWDC 2026 will be held from June 8 to 12 , with the opening keynote scheduled for Monday, June 8. As per tradition, the event will be an opportunity to showcase the new versions of Apple operating systems, including iOS 27 , iPadOS 27 , watchOS 27 , macOS 27 , tvOS 27 and visionOS 27 .

The keynote and the slogan “Coming bright up”

Apple has begun sending out invitations for the event, which this year features the tagline “Coming Bright Up .” The keynote will be streamed on Apple's YouTube channel, Apple.com, and the Apple TV app.

The presentation could be one of the last WWDCs led by Tim Cook as CEO, adding further attention to an event already central to the company's software strategy.

Anticipation for the new AI-powered Siri

In addition to operating system updates, one of the most anticipated new features is the new version of Siri , powered by artificial intelligence. Apple is expected to showcase the progress it's made in Apple Intelligence, with a particular focus on a more contextual assistant, better integrated into apps, and capable of handling more complex requests.

WWDC 2026 will therefore be an important step in understanding how much Apple intends to accelerate its AI efforts after a period in which the competition, especially on the Android front, pushed hard to integrate intelligent functions into the operating system.

A week of developer sessions

After the opening keynote, the conference will continue until June 12th with technical sessions, insights, and activities dedicated to developers. As every year, Apple will use WWDC to provide tools, documentation, and guidance on new software platforms.

The June 8 event will therefore be the first opportunity to discover the direction of the next software cycle of the Apple ecosystem, from iPhones to Macs, all the way to Apple Watch, Apple TV and Vision Pro.
